  Field Joint Solutions (German Technology)

Field joint insulating elements are playing a major role in the offshore pipeline productions.Application of proper field joint coatings is indispensable when pipelines are welded together. Our German client, SILICOAT ROBOTICS GmbH, has a patented technology (Patent: EP 2 558 287 A1 and B1) in field joint applications.

Why this technology?
  •   Increased adhesion of PUR Coating on PP insulation preventing water intrusion into the joint
  •   Adhesion promotion for PUR Coating on both, bound steel pipe ends and PP
  •   Dry and solvent free silicate adhesion promoting layer
  •   Fast and cost effective atmospheric coating procedure
  •   Increased adhesion leads to higher load-bearing capacity of joint pipes
  •   Field joints and offshore pipes are less delicate to damages, water intrusion and service
  •   Less subsequent costs

Ceramic and Porcelain Joints and Bonding Solutions (German Technology)

Our client SILICOAT ROBOTICS GmbH has developed a new bonding technology for Ceramic and Porcelain industry. This technology enables the bonding of ceramic to ceramic, porcelain to porcelain, and the cross bonding of ceramic to porcelain. Further, this innovative method facilitates the adhesion of ceramic and porcelain to other materials such as metals, glass and polymers.

Major Features
  •   Increased chemical adhesion
  •   Different adhesive materials using same starting base
  •   Dry and solvent free Silicate adhesion promoting layer
  •   Fast and cost effective atmospheric coating procedure
  •   Increased adhesion leads to higher load-bearing capacity of joints and bondings
  •   Joints and bondings are less delicate to damages, water intrusion and service
  •   Less subsequent costs
  •   Heat resistant joints are limited only by the adhesive limit, not by adhesion promoter
  •   (Temperature resistance up to 200°C in case of Silicone bonding)
